In Hong Kong, automation is inevitable for our business to
increase competitiveness and productivity. It is also quite
pity that many powerful computers are soon obsolete and discarded
because of the short life-span of PCs and the rocketing of
information technology.
This
year our computer donation program Compuaid 2001-02, targets
to benefit 1,000 elderly or disabled recipients, which is
organized by Ming Pao, Commercial Radio, Microsoft (HK) Ltd
and Hong Kong Council of Social Service. It is funded by the
Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust with co-organizers include
The Hong Kong Social Welfare Department, Cyber Senior Network
Development Association, The Society for the Blind and Hong
Kong Scout Association. The Project is also fully supported
by iCare.com.Ltd and Roadshow.
We
sincerely invite all companies/agencies/organizations to participate
by donating the obsolete computers (Pentium 133 or above)
or computer parts (monitor, modem, mouse, keyboard or others
hardware). We wish to recycle the computers for the elderly
and disable people who are in need of computers. For further
information, please do not hesitate to contact us at 2865
5507 (Miss Li).
